1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
1 c. water
1 Tbsp. salt
a few whole cloves (the spice)
Let stand (? not sure what that means either)
Process pints 10 min. in boiling water bath
Doubled: 2 2/3 c. vinegar
2 c. sugar
1/2 t. pepper'
2 c. water
2 T. salt
1/2 t whole cloves (I have a note that says "ground up" I don't know what it means)
