Oatmeal Cookies by Clancy

1 c. sugar
1 C. brown sugar
1 C. shortening (or ½ C. Butter)
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1½ tsp. vanilla
1½ C. flour
3 C. oatmeal

Cream sugars, shortening (or butter) and eggs.
Add baking soda, salt and vanilla. Blend
Blend in flour. Add oats last.
Spoon 1 inch drops onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes until golden brown
just on top.

Sweet Mustard (Roger Passey)

1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
3 T. dried mustard
1/2 t. cornstarch
2 T. Butter

Mix ing, except butter in blender. Pour in saucepan & bring to low boil. Stir frequently so it won't scorch. Add butter while it's hot. Thicken to the texture of lemon butter. (great with ham)
